OUTFIT POST: SPRING TIME LAYERING

Hey guys!!
I know the title says spring time layering, but the weather here is nothing like spring. It is summer here, and I am not kidding! but when has the weather ever stopped fashion? I didn't plan on layering yesterday but the black dress I wanted to wear turned out to be more scandalous that I thought. Here is a sneak peak of the back.

 Well, I can't go to class looking like that, so I decided to layer with a very light wooly top. That is the key to layering in warm climates, you should use, soft and light materials to avoid sweating for Africa. It doesn't matter if you are using denim, wooly overall or cotton, they come in different fabrics and you will definitely find a version that is thin enough to wear when it is hot.

PEOPLE'S MAGAZINE NAMES BEYONCE AS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD

 According to People's Magazine, singer/mogul/mom/superwoman extraordinaire Beyonce Knowles is the most beautiful woman in the world. She deserves this title, she embodies the idea of beauty and has worked really hard to be where she is today. Young people (especially girls)  need people like this to look up to if they want the world to view them as beautiful and I think Beyonce is a wonderful role model.
P.S I think my Mum is the most beautiful woman in the world, so Beyonce take a seat!

OUTFIT POST: CHANELLING RITA ORA

 It's no secret that I think Rita's style is dope!! So today, I decided to do an imitation of her style with my own twist of course. It's okay for you to get inspiration from other fashionistas but you should never lose or immerse yourself in some other person's identity.  I like the freshness that Rita Ora gives her grunge look and this morning while I was trying to find something to wear, I spotted my boyfriend's denim jacket and my roomie's wooly hat and I was like hello miss Ora :) So I threw on this easy and comfy maxi and put on red lipstick and Voila!!

I had fun with the look, and it also gave me this boost of confidence like I was untouchable. I was practically bouncing to class with that prince of Bel Air swag uhn uhn!!!.

P.S I know I have been doing a lot of style posts. I'm just trying to make up for all my lazy days. I love you guys and keep on reading Style Cravings.

 Today I'm spotting the tomboy look with an edgy twist. The tomboy look is not a very easy look to pull off, So I decided not to wear earrings. I'm wearing my favorite shoes at the moment, I am obsessed with my River Island high top sneakers. I completed the look with a feminine lace top, cotton tights and a DIY turban. Perfect look for a busy day!!

OUTFIT POST: BLACK AND NUDE

 I didn't have classes anywhere to go to yesterday but I decided to dress up anyway. Normally I wouldn't wear nude tights but I was like what the hell? YOLO (omg!! that's the first time I'm saying that). I've had them for a few weeks now and they weren't going to wear themselves. So I paired the tights with black velvet shorts and a blouse that comes in another shade of nude.

Byge is an up and coming designer label owned by Byge Oru. She is officially Launching her clothing line on May 1st 2012. I wish I could be there but I've got school but I will be bringing you pictures from the event. However here is the press release
