The theme was soft modernity, an ethereal girly fabulousity of sorts, with the right amount of edge. Soft colours and fabrics were the highlight of the collection. With minimalist makeup and simple hairdos, Dior echoes classic fashion for all ages and time. One of my favorite collections.
For fall 2012, Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci took a liking to equestrian inspired gear for the label’s presentation shown during Paris Fashion Week. Cropped capes, riding jackets, tapered trousers and thigh high boots dominated the autumn season. A gothic color palette of black, red and camel grounded the collection of slouchy silhouettes. This wasn't in my top list, but hey. Its Givenchy, so whose complaining?
This is hands down my favorite collection. Dolce & Gabbana’s Italian glamour took a turn for bejeweled, Baroque inspired beauty. Influenced by Sicilian art work, models took to the runway in brocade and cherub tapestry prints. Accessories for the show included bejeweled headbands, gold jewelry and pearl adorned handbags. Delicate lace work was also on display with ladylike dresses that reached the knee and black veils worn like the Madonna. Bringing some sex appeal to the demure showing, Dolce sent out lingerie inspired bustiers and hot pants for a cheeky take on the Baroque influence.

Gucci's fall 2011 collection was inspired by Romanticism in the 19th century, Frida Giannini presented a collection of evening gowns, suit and coats with sensuous and lady like silhouettes using sheer,leather and feathery fabrics all in dark hues ranging from black to dark emerald. The Gucci catwalk was dominated by supermodels like Joan Smalls, Anja Rubik, Kasia Struss, Ava Smith and more.This collection screams red carpet glam and office girl chic! check out a few pictures below.
