FUN DAY WITH THE FRIENDS

Hello people!

  As you all know yesterday was the Launch of the Vintage Section of this blog called VINTAGE CRAVINGS it's an online vintage blog store which I just started to cater to the need of vintage lovers. The first collection "Classic Vintage" was released for sale yesterday and sold out the same day, thanks to Style Cravings loyal readers and supporters. While the sale was going on, I decided to hangout and catch up with some of my friends that I haven't seen in a while. We had lot's of fun eating, gisting, taking pictures and dancing. Today, we have a guest blogger, Jackie Clark from THE MESOTHELIOMA CANCER ALLIANCE BLOG, educating on us on how important it is to feel beautiful when you have cancer.

High fashion is something that designers create to look amazing. There is nothing more sensual and more amazing than high fashion ensembles; and women everywhere know this. There is just something about the way that a high fashion outfit makes a woman feel. Perhaps it is the sheer quality of the fabric used to create the outfit or the way that the outfit fits her body like a glove; perfect in every way. There is nothing that makes a woman feel more beautiful than a beautiful outfit that fits perfectly.

Designer outfits have a way of making women feel like a different, more fabulous person in a matter of seconds. The moment a woman steps into a high fashion outfit she immediately feels more beautiful, powerful and confident than ever before. A woman that feels like this can walk into a room in her ensemble and command attention; she knows there is nothing she cannot do and nothing is going to stand in her way. It doesn’t matter what the high fashion item is: a dress, a suit, jeans or even a pair of five-inch heels that have her feeling like her legs are longer, leaner and sexier than ever before. High fashion makes women feel fabulous.

When it comes to confidence and beauty, nothing can make a woman feel that she has more of either than high fashion. In relation to that, nothing can strip a woman of her confidence and feelings of beauty faster than finding out that she has been diagnosed with mesothelioma cancer or any other form of cancer there is. When a woman finds out she must undergo treatment for cancer, she is going to feel a rush of emotions that she cannot control. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this; these emotions are her way of dealing with this life-altering news and she should deal as soon as she possibly can. The faster she deals, the faster she can work on regaining her confidence and feelings of beauty.

Many people may wonder what feeling beautiful has to do with cancer; but it is important. It is not about vanity; it is about quality of life. A woman that feels beautiful, confident and powerful is going to have a better quality of life than a woman who does not have these feelings. And when it comes to cancer treatment and handling it in the best possible manner, there is nothing more important than quality of life. While there are many ways a woman can improve her quality of life, an instant mood booster like high fashion will have her feeling more beautiful and more confident in minutes. This is precisely why women with cancer need to get to their favorite department store or designer boutique and start shopping.

Versace Dazzles at 2012 Milan Fashion show

 The theme was predominantly gothic: lots of black leather, bold dark makeup, and tight fitting dresses to a point of almost being uncomfortable. The tagline of the night was “a sexy rock vibe against a backdrop of dark seduction”. Her designs involved infusions of Byzantine crosses and chain mail over leather. The collection was slightly emotional as it was the first time she drew inspiration from the last collection her brother, Gianni Versace showcased just before his death.

Decent. Not something Versace does often, but she pulls it off.

I love this dress. its short, black, bold and demure at the same time. The red bag adds the right pop of color 

Classy elegance and in black. Very appropriate. the crosses give an edge to it

I thought this was stunning. Tight black leather. what more can one want?

this dress is modest, but still screams command which is what Versace is about. Taking charge

the dark sexy schoolgirl. I dig this very much. notice the cross reminiscent of Gianni Versace

notice the mish mash of white and black. the socks give the dress an edge of sorts to balance the simplicity of a decent dress

This is in your face sexy. tight enough to show her curves, leathery, and short. the socks give a fun simple side.

And Versace is back. In command, in black, in tight leather. very sexy

Separately, the outfits are divine, but together, they don't work

Love the colour, love the length, I like how the waist is cinched. classic

 The dress would have been much better if it was fitted. Loose, black and full of crosses is not a winner

Love the color. Hate the design

Love the piece, but it would have been better without the turtle neck

This is elegant and downright sexy. The sliver highlights make it even sexier

I'm not particularly feeling this piece either. It distracts from the whole goth theme

I love love LOVE this piece. its individualistic simple, yet bold 

My best pick of the lot. simple, functional, can be worn outside the runway without editing, and suits all body parts

I hate the color, form and letters. The bag is ill fitted and the boots expected.
