 Nigeria's leading lifestyle publication, Genevieve Magazine has released it's April 2012 issue. The cover features talented and young designers Tsemaye Binitie, Toju Foyeh and Sunny Rose. The cover picture was taken by Kelechi Amadi and styled by Ohimai Atafo. The female designers are wearing their own designs, while Mr Binitie is spotting his signature hat. Tres tres chic!!

OUTFIT POST: SHEER POLKA DOTS

 I actually wore this outfit yesterday, but since I'm posting it today we can just pretend I'm wearing it today. This outfit is very comfortable and chic at the same time, I love the polka dots on the top and the fact that it is slightly cropped and sheer is a bonus because Yola is hoooooooooot!!!. I also cut my braids and I feel much better, there was so much negative energy around me and the long braids were just absorbing it.

SPOTTED!! IN MAKI OH

 Pieces from Nigerian designer Maki Oh were recently spotted on fashion it girls Oroma Elewa, Solange Knowles, fashion it girl/retailer Maryam Nasir Zadeh and hollywood actress Leelee Sobieski. Leelee is the first hollywood actress to rock a Maki Oh piece, hopefully they will see how unique she looks in it and others will follow suit. I'm glad that Maki Oh is getting recognized, she's a very talented designer and recently won designer of the year at arise magazine fashion week lagos. You go girl!!!

 I am beyond obsessed with this Dolce and Gabbana Jewel encrusted bodysuit from their S/S RTW 2012 Runway. Usually when I'm craving something, I just go ahead and buy it, but I can't just wing this without giving up on clothes, jewelery, shoes and other things for a few months. So I am just going to continue lusting after it until someone gets it for me as a pressie :)  take it in.....

 Vogue Italia recently featured a piece from Nigerian designer Jewel by Lisa's S/S12 collection in an editorial titled Le Sacre du Printemps. The picture was taken by photographer Dalton Louis for the April issue of Donovo Magazine. Way to go JBL!!!

  I hope you all had a great week? Today's outfit post was meant to be published yesterday but the internet connection was fucked up   I was extremely busy. Yesterday I decided to pair this blue frilly monostrap dress with mustard tights. And photographed it with three different pair of shoes. I had fun with the look, I hope you like it!!

ALICIA KEYS WEARS CHRISTIE BROWN, TSEMAYE BINITIE AND ANITA QUANSAH LONDON IN VIBE MAGAZINE

 I love it when African designers get recognized for their talents. Alicia Keys was recently featured on the Cover of Vibe magazine and posed for a fashion spread in the Magazine. She looked fierce and super chic donning neck pieces by Ghanian designer label Christie Brown, London based African accessories designer Anita Quansah London and outfits by Nigerian designer Tsemaye Binitie.
